This page contains photos of people who mean a lot to me. Sadly it is in dire need of the kids photographs being updated but trying to get them to stay in one place long enough to get a decent picture of them is damn near impossible. However I will keep trying you never know I just may get lucky one day.
PAT (aka AussieMan on ICQ)
Here is the chief 'Rogue'. Beginning to feel the years and desperatly need to reduce the waistline. I try to keep as active as possible with a bit of fishing and photography. I am also a Communications Officer with the Lithgow Rural Fire Services headquarters.
BOBBY (aka Smeghead on ICQ)
Bobby is the eldest of my childre and is aged 28. He has moved back home with dad as he says it is cheaper. He has just completed an Information Technology course at Lithgow TAFE and is now on a break before either doing the Diploma or looking for work in that field. He is a computer fanatic and says that is the field he wants to work in.
Bobby served 6 years in the Army Cadets. As well as being a member of the Lithgow Cadet Unit he was a senior drummer in the Cadet Tour Band. By the time he resigned at nineteen he had reached the rank of Sergeant.
When he left the Cadets at age 19 he joined the Army Reserve and was there for about 5 years until he resigned in 2001.
This photo was taken while Bobby was on a course with the Army Reserve. To see the full size picture just click on the photo. You will find Bobby in the middle row on the extreme right.
MICHAEL (aka DannyBoy on ICQ)
Michael is 25 and is my second oldest. He has completed an Office Administration course at TAFE.
He served for five years in the Army Cadets attaining the rank of Corporal.
In late 2000 he was offered a one year traineeship in Hospitality (Food & Beverage) at Jenolan Caves House. In December he was offered a 2nd year to learn more about supervision of staff. I am pleased to report that Michael graduated from his traineeship on Sunday 29th September 2002.
During his working week he lived at Caves house which is almost 60 kilometers from Lithgow. When his week is finished I would go down to pick him up at the end of his last shift (usually about 11pm at night).
I really enjoyed going down to pick him up as I usually saw a lot of our native wildlife that only comes out at night..
PETER (aka JimBeam on ICQ)
Peter is my youngest son. Aged 22 he is my youngest son. He along with his sister was injured in a car accident on his way to work. He suffered kidney and back injuries in that accident.
Like his older brothers he too served two and a half years in the Army Cadets.
He has also done the Info Tech course at Lithgow TAFE. In December 2002 he married a lovely girl named Rebecca and on the 24th of April this year they presented me with my first grandchild, A beautiful boy named Maxwell Peter.
Jennifer is the youngest of my children and the only daughter. Don't be fooled by that innocent look. She is 20 and until a few years ago she was always testing the water to see just what she could get away with.
Jennifer was in the same car accident as her brother on the 1st of July 1999. At the time it was feared she would not walk again as she had fractured her spine. But with the marvels of modern medecine and her fighting spirit within 3 months she was back on her feet (albeit with the help of crutches).
In December 2001 she graduated from High School and completed her TPC at Lithgow TAFE. Last year she did a nursing course at TAFE and is now working in a nursing home at Springwood. She has purchased her own house and will be moving in with her cousin in the next few weeks
God help us. Jennifer now has her driver's licence. Congratulations young lady.
